Nielsen Business Media has hired Kevin Gaffney as show director of the Medtrade and Medtrade Spring events.
Gaffney, who is a Certified Exposition Manager from the International Association of Exhibitions and Events IAE, most recently served as the sales and marketing director for the Exhibit Designers and Producers Association. His primary responsibilities were to provide sales and marketing strategic guidance and leadership for EDPA management, staff and board of directors. Gaffney is also an instructor in the University of Georgia's Meeting Certificate Program and serves on the Industry Advisory Board for the Cecil B. Day School of Hospitality at Georgia State University.
"Kevin's knowledge of the tradeshow industry and his proven success in business development, sales and operations will enable the Medtrade events to directly respond to the home health care industry's current challenges," said Joe Randall, senior vice president, Nielsen Business Media, in a news release.
Randall will continue his involvement in the events.
Medtrade 2008 is set for Oct. 27-30 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.
