The SCOOTER Store Wins Oxygen Contracts

May 15, 2008

The SCOOTER Store, provider of scooters and power chairs, has won oxygen bids in a few of the first 10 MSAs, according to Doug Harrison, founder and CEO. Harrison did not reveal which CBAs, nor the company's plans for the second round of competitive bidding.

"For July 1st, all services will be subcontracted through accredited suppliers," says Harrison. "Our fulfillment strategy will evolve as we see more about how NCB actually works, or doesn’t work."

Asked why The SCOOTER store was moving into respiratory, Harrison says, "Our mission is to provide freedom and independence. We believe that accomplishing this mission with oxygen is a logical diversification from accomplishing this with mobility devices."
