Sunrise Medical’s Respiratory Division Becomes DeVilbiss Healthcare

Sunrise Medical has separated into two organizations — Sunrise Mobility and DeVilbiss Healthcare. The respiratory-focused DeVilbiss will concentrate efforts on developing, designing, manufacturing and selling DeVilbiss respiratory products and servicing customers. The primary product lines will continue to include oxygen therapy equipment, pulmonary drug delivery and sleep apnea therapy.

"Our business partners no longer expect us to just deliver products; they expect us to develop a deeper understanding of their business and support them with exceptional products, services and programs that they need to optimize their operations," Kristin Mastin, respiratory marketing director, said. "The best way to accomplish this is to add focus and evolve Sunrise Medical into two independent organizations. This will allow DeVilbiss Healthcare and Sunrise Mobility to be more agile and flexible. As a result, both organizations will be better able to anticipate shifts in the marketplace, accelerate problem-solving and increase solution innovation."

As of July 1, all DeVilbiss respiratory product orders will need to be placed with DeVilbiss Healthcare, which will have a dedicated, respiratory-focused sales force. Providers will automatically be assigned new account numbers for respiratory products, which will be separate from Sunrise Mobility.
