At Medtrade Spring in Las Vegas, CHAD Therapeutics added another product to its lineup sporting a plant-friendly name — the BONSAI OXYPneumatic Conserver.
“A few years ago, CHAD adopted the leaf as our corporate symbol. We chose the leaf because it is nature’s source of oxygen,” says Erika Laskey, senior vice president of sales and marketing. “Since that time, we have named many of our oxygen delivery devices after plants and trees — the CYPRESS OXYPneumatic Conserver, the SAGE Oxygen Therapeutic Device and the LOTUS Electronic Conserver.”
CHAD had historically named its products with numbers such as the 300 or 400 series; however, the new strategy seems to be working well for the company.
In February 2006, CHAD was awarded the Frost & Sullivan Award for Oxygen Therapy Product Line Strategy Leadership for demonstrating insight into customer needs and product demands. Since that time, the company has continued to roll out oxygen products designed to meet the demands of today’s changing market.
“The lifeblood of a small company is new products and the ability to bring technological advancements to the marketplace quickly,” says Laskey.
The BONSAI lives up to its name with a lightweight 10-ounce design. The unit packs a heavy punch, however, with a 6 to 1 conserving ratio and eight flow settings. The conserver also comes with an adjustable continuous flow feature.
