SeQual Technologies' Eclipse portable oxygen concentrator recently earned the Wall Street Journal 2007 Technology Innovation Award for medical devices.
"This award is something we are proud of, but we are even more proud of the letters and pictures we receive almost daily from patients that are using the Eclipse and have told us how much it has changed their lives," says Ron Richard, senior vice president of sales and marketing.
The Eclipse won for its ability to improve the ambulation of long-term oxygen patients. The device "is likely to be a very substantial advance for the two million people with chronic lung disease," said Anthony Komaroff, professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School and editor in chief of Harvard Health Publications.
